On Friday, the 29th of January we celebrated the Release of Lou-i, a label of (baseball) caps with wooden visors – Made in Germany. Many people supported me to build up the label and therefore it was time to say THANKS. Over 200 guests celebrated this event with a listening-session (milestones and website launch), presentation of our „babys“ and an after show party at the extraordinary location of Batz&Burgl.
At the beginning we had a good idea, a few old baseball caps, some wood and grandma`s 50 years old sewing machine. After almost two years in development and many creative ideas we could finally realize our ambitious project. However, we have now created unique caps with wooden visor (light, flexible and resistant), which are produced in our own sewing manufactory – Made in Germany. Our pieces are handcrafted and made with love. Selected wood, finest material and incomparable wearability should be connected with Lou-i.
Why Lou-i? It’s always hard to find the right name for a company. After a lot of thought and trials I had this flash of inspiration. I saw this picture of myself when I almost reached kindergarden age. According to a legend I sang out loudly during walking down the street: „Louie, Louie, Lou-i“. Lou-i was born!
